Alamo Leadership Academy Library Field Trip

Students from Alamo Leadership Academy.received a field trip scholarship from Target in order to attend the local library. Students where able to attend the library multiple times and learn about the resources available to them. Students were able to check out books, do research, utilize the computers and have story time with the local librarian. Some students from Mrs Sassenhagen’s 4th grade class stated they have enjoyed attending the library. Chris said “I don’t have books at home so I get to read when I go to the library.” Mark found a love for reading after her saw all the different types of books that were out there. Alamo appreciates Target’s Field Trip Grant and hopes to receive continued support to provide more library field trips this coming year.

HPGT Attends SAPD Safety Patrol Rally

Join us Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 4 PM – 7 PM for our 2nd Annual Spring Carnival sponsored by our AMAZING PTSO! The carnival will be located in the Fritz parking lot across from Baptist Temple. Additionally, our kindergarten students and teachers will be hosting a “Kinder Garden” Open House! The garden is located across the street from the Fritz parking lot. See you there!

Premier School Carnival

Premier Leadership Academy celebrated their 2nd Annual Spring Carnival on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Parents, students, and community members enjoyed a mini water park, a variety of delcious food, a live DJ, and lots of carnival games and prizes.

District Science Fair

On Saturday, April 13, 2013 the sixth grade students that placed at the HPGT science fair competed against other students in the Jubilee Academic Center District Science Fair for middle and high school. The following students represented Highland Park GT: Dylan Zayasbazan, 1st place, Micah Stewart, 3rd place and Samantha Jimenez, finalist. Congratulations!
